Routine eye examinations are important to detect eye diseases and underlying health conditions. We provide eye examinations to individuals of all ages, including children.

Optometrists are qualified to diagnose and treat eye conditions. We can assess your eyes for conditions such as:
Glaucoma
Cataracts
Macular degeneration
Dry eye disease
Diabetic retinopathy
Eye inflammation - conjunctivitis, uveitis, scleritis
Binocular vision dysfunction

Visits to your optometrist are important as part of your diabetes team care plan.
Diabetes can cause dry eye, eye movement issues and retinal changes, termed diabetic retinopathy. As part of this assessment, we use eye drops that dilate your pupils to properly assess your retina.

Our optometrist is qualified to diagnose eye conditions and prescribe medicated eye drops to treat your eye condition.
If you're currently using eye drops, be sure to bring information about them.

Our optometrists can complete eye sight reports for VicRoads, including visual field driving assessments.

We have emergency appointments available on our clinic days. We strive to ensure any eye condition that requires urgent attention is attended to. Please email or call us on (03) 5263 1001 if you have experienced:
a foreign body (metal or object in the eye)
sudden onset double vision
sudden onset pain
sudden onset blurred vision
sudden onset flashes and floaters
Meet your optometrist:
Madeleine Jones
Madeleine Jones is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist at Blink Optometry. With extensive experience managing a wide range of ocular conditions, she has particular interests in myopia control and dry eye management and enjoys providing care to patients of all ages. Madeleine has volunteered as an optometrist in Cambodia, and worked extensively in regional Victoria.
Madeleine is also Lecturer in Optometric Practice at Deakin University, where she shares her expertise and enthusiasm for optometry with the next generation of clinicians. Outside of work, you’ll find Madeleine doing pottery, baking a delicious dessert, or walking her boisterous border collie.
